Who puts on the Mountaineer Brewfest? Valley Groove Productions dba Mountaineer Brewfest, is recognized as a public charity under Internal Revenue Code section 501 (c) (3). Proceeds from this event benefit local Wheeling, WV charities which are selected by the Mountaineer Brewfest Committee yearly. Our mission is: To promote West Virginia’s unique and growing industry of craft and microbreweries To provide the public an opportunity to learn about West Virginia’s craft and microbrewers and their products To create a venue for West Virginia’s craft and microbrewers to promote their products To provide the best in Entertainment, Food, and Merchandise from West Virginia’s Northern Panhandle all within a relaxed atmosphere. To encourage community within the city of Wheeling by: Working with local officials and businesses to provide a sustainable event By donating festival proceeds to local charities
What is the date of the Mountaineer Brewfest festival? August 17, 2024
What are the festival times? VIP entry is at 3:00pm General Admission entry is at 4:00pm Festival closes at 10:00pm Last call is at 9:30pm
What are the ticket prices? EARLY BIRD TICKET PRICES: VIP Admission is $70, VIP plus Thursday Pairing is $80, VIP Designated Driver Admission is $20, General Admission is $30, General Admission Designated Driver Admission is $10 AFTER JULY 31st: VIP Admission is $80 VIP Designated Driver Admission is $20 General Admission is $40 General Admission Designated Driver Admission is $10
Will there be tickets available at the door? We have announced that there will be 2000 general admission tickets and 200 VIP tickets sold for this year’s festival, there are no guarantees of tickets at the door.
How can I pay for my tickets? You can pay by credit card online at www.mountaineerbrewfest.com. At the door, if there are tickets available, you can pay by credit card or cash.

What do I get with a VIP ticket? Can Brewers run out of beer? Yes, while we attempt to anticipate the number of people in attendance, and alert the Brewers to expected capacity, some of these Craft Brewers are small production facilities and can only produce so much for our festival. We hope people purchase their tickets in advance so that we have a better idea of what to plan for. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences.
What is the sample size that the Brewers will distribute? For 1 ticket you receive a 4oz sample
Can Brewers distribute beer in my commemorative mug? Yes, 4 sample tickets will get your commemorative mug filled.
Can I buy extra sample tickets? Yes, 1 additional strip of 10 sample tickets may be purchased per person.
Can I use my sample tickets at the Beer Garden? Yes, 4 sample tickets can be exchanged for one beer from our beer garden.
Is there a limit to the number of beers purchased at a time at the beer garden? Yes, 2 beers permitted per purchase at the Beer Garden.
How many different beers will be available at the Beer Garden? We make every effort to have between 50 and 70 additional craft beers available.
What if I arrive by boat on the river, can I participate in the festival? Yes, but you must first purchase an admission ticket and have a wristband to participate in the festival, otherwise you will not be served.
How old must you be to purchase tickets? You must be 21 years of age to purchase tickets.
Are tickets transferrable? Tickets are not transferrable.
Are tickets refundable? Ticket sales are nonrefundable.
If I am intoxicated can I enter the Mountaineer Brewfest? No entrance or reentrance for anyone showing signs of intoxication, no exceptions, no refunds.
Are pets permitted? No pets permitted except service animals.
Do I need a photo ID? Valid photo ID is required for admittance (no exceptions).
Can I bring my children or infant? You must be 21 years of age to enter the Mountaineer Brewfest.

What happens if it rains? This is a rain or shine event.
Can I bring a cooler or other items to the Mountaineer Brewfest? No large bags or coolers allowed, all bags and backpacks are subject to search.
Can I bring my own food or beverages? No outside food or beverage permitted.
What about illegal substances? No illegal substances permitted.
What about weapons? No Weapons permitted.
Is food available at the Mountaineer Brewfest? Food for purchase is available from local vendors.
Is smoking permitted at the Wheeling Heritage Port? Wheeling Heritage Port is a smoke free venue
Are there any COVID-19 Restrictions? There are no plans to impose restrictions on access to the festival, or to impose conditions such as mask or vaccine requirements. This is subject to change at any time, pending local, state, and federal guidelines. Valley Groove Productions dba Mountaineer Brewfest reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to postpone or cancel this event due to any Covid-19 Restrictions.
What else do I need to know about the Mountaineer Brewfest? Mountaineer Brewfest reserves the right to card anyone at any time. Wristbands must be visible at all times. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. No offensive language or conduct. Mountaineer Brewfest servers reserve the right to refuse serving to anyone appearing intoxicated and/or does not comply with wristband identification and sample ticketing policies. Beer dispensed and sold only in festival provided plastic cups and commemorative mug with accompanying sample ticket(s). No beer products will be dispensed/sold in any other container. Beer garden sales limited to two per purchase. Additional sample ticket sales limited to 1 strip of 10 per person. Violation of any of these rules can result in your immediate removal from the festival.
